Professor Roy has more than 35 years of teaching and business experience, a Professor in Financial Economics, Distinguished Chair for Finance & Investment. He had balanced work as academician (Professor, Dean, and Program Director), businessman (professional, consultant, and entrepreneur), and investor (financial market products, business ventures, and property/real estate). Professor Roy served as Dean at IPMI International Business School, Bina Nusantara University, and Universitas Pelita Harapan.

He is also a former executive of McKinsey & Company, Commissioner of CIMB Niaga, and served as Commissioner of Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi. Prof. Roy had his PhD at University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School and earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University
